The Immigration Guide is an independent publication explaining Canadian immigration in plain language.
Why this exists
Canadian immigration information is spread across dozens of official pages, written for administrators rather than applicants. The Immigration Guide exists to explain the same rules in plain language, and to point you back to the official source for every claim we make.
What we are
We are an independent publication. We are not affiliated with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, any provincial government, any school, employer or law firm.
We publish educational information. We do not provide legal advice, we do not represent applicants, and we do not assess anyone's eligibility.
What we do not do
We do not publish sponsored placements, affiliate offers or paid listings. We do not publish invented statistics, processing-time estimates of our own, or claims we cannot link to an official source.
How we work
Every guide names the official pages it is based on and carries the date it was last reviewed. When rules change, we update the guide and change the date. When we get something wrong, we correct it and say so.
